ALLOCATED PRIORITY: Website Rebuild

@Jinx actually mentioned the need for a designer and I’m having a second thought of collaborating with him in this process as he’s sorely an engineer – he can build while I design and still go ahead with the rest of the design refresh.

Submission: Proposal for Website Design, Development, and Optimization

Introduction:
Greetings,

We are the team behind Interested.fyi, a well connected group of talent with a broad experience across the web3 ecosystem. Our team has contributed to many successful projects including:

  • cal.com
  • ZeroDev - zerodev.app/
  • Pear Garden - pear.garden/
  • Reimagined ReFi - refi-53ue4vox4-refi.vercel.app/

Understanding of the Objective:

The core of interested.fyi is built with an underlying CMS and we have a proven system to provide a way to manage content. We’d love to integrate this solution for Pocket Network as well.

Our technology stack makes it super easy to integrate SEO using Next.js and mobile responsive designs with Tailwind. We use these tools because they’re loved and battle tested by our top-talent frontend engineers, and they allow us to prototype super fast.

Many of our clients have had success with out integrations of PostHog to serve them analytics and session replays to show your team exactly how users are navigating your site.

Proposal Overview:

  1. Website Design & Build: Leveraging our expertise, we will redesign and develop a site that resonates with your target audience, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  2. Hosting & Maintenance: We want to offer a free year of hosting on Vercel.app where deployments are really just one click. Vercel also has first class Next.js integrations which will speed up your app load time tremendously, served over a global CDN.
  3. Content Management System (CMS): Our proposed CMS will empower you to update content effortlessly, ensuring your site remains fresh and relevant. We will host your data on Vercel Blobs and provide an interface to create, read, update, and delete content at your will. You can view a preview of our Notion-style editor (novel.sh)
  4. Responsive Design: We will ensure every page is navigable for desktop and mobile users.
  5. SEO Optimization: Along with Next.js first class SEO, we can provide beautiful social sharing images through the use of OG tags, so your links will stand out on all social platforms as well.
  6. Agility: We chose our stack because it’s the most popular and flexible among modern developers and is backed by Vercel who constantly maintains and improves our toolkit.
  7. Analytics & Experimentation: Our team will integrate advanced analytics tools and set up the site for click rate optimization, providing insights to further refine the user experience.

Payment in POKT:
We prefer receiving Stables (USDC, DAI, USDT, sUSD) for services or fiat

I think we should bring in Alec. Some new blood into the Pokt mix.

We’ve been approached by a design agency, who came highly recommended.

We’ve seen their portfolio and are extremely excited by the calibre of work.

If we get the opportunity to work with them, they could design a truly Tier 1 website. We would then only need development work (rather then development and design). We’re exploring it and will not know until tomorrow whether this is something we could move forward with.

In the interests of ensuring we get the best website we possibly can, we need another 24 hours.

Thank you to everyone who engaged with this POP to date.

Unfortunately, with only one submission that addresses the full scope, one that addresses the build element, and one that addresses design, we’re not in a place to allocate it with confidence.

Therefore we’re reopening it for 7 day from today to see if we can source other complete / complimentary proposals. That means that we’re also explicitly clarifying that submissions can be for the full scope or for either the design or the build, with a view to potentially combining submissions.

We hope the existing submissions stand, and really appreciate your patience.

Sincere apologies to anyone who is frustrated by the process on this one.

This is my first POP, it’s a material piece of spend, and it’s an important chance to help POKT Network look at feel like the tier 1 project that it is to our external audiences.

Hello POKT people! Long time fan, first time poster!
Couple of clarifying questions on the POP to help make the most accurate proposal.

  • What is intended for the two missing pages from the wireframes (i.e. Blog and Presskit). I see the notes, but I’m assuming there would be a wireframing session with the POKT team?
  • For the ‘Visual’ sections in the wireframes, do you have assets in-house? Or are creation of the visuals in scope?

Abstract

The Pocket Network’s current website serves its purpose but doesn’t fully encapsulate the innovative spirit and capabilities of the network. This proposal aims to redesign the website, ensuring it’s not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, user-friendly, and aligned with the network’s ethos and objectives. The goal is to bridge the gap between the network’s potential and its digital representation, offering a design that resonates with its target audience while enhancing usability.

Motivation

The digital landscape is evolving rapidly. A website, as the digital face of an organization, needs to reflect its core values, mission, and capabilities. The existing website, though functional, lacks certain modern elements that could potentially deter developers and partners. A revamped, responsive, and user-centric website will not only attract but also retain and engage users, reinforcing the network’s credibility and vision.

Deliverables

  • Website Overall Design: A modern, user-centric design that resonates with the network’s ethos.
  • Webflow Site Live-Ready: The website will be developed on the Webflow CMS platform, ensuring flexibility and ease of content management.
  • Lightweight Brand Style Guide: This will serve the immediate redesign needs and is crafted to be adaptable for future branding endeavors. This includes Typography, Color Palette, Brand Guidelines Mission Statement, Imagery, and Iconography.
  • Hosting: Hosting will be handled by PNF.

Cost & Delivery

The entire project will be executed for a payment in POKT, valued at 16,000 USD. The delivery timeline for the complete project is set at 30 days from the date of approval, ensuring a swift transition to the new design.

Great questions @sasquatchtru !

The intention with the blog and the presskit is to either bring in or recreate the current assets that can be found here or here and here.

We could certainly have a wireframing session - it’s important to make sure they’re right.

The creation of the visuals is definitely in scope.

We have some assets that we can draw on (as you’ll see in the brand guidelines) but they are relatively limited, we are not wedded to them, and I see this as a great opportunity to bring fresh eyes and thinking to our visual language and style.

Thank you!

Hi team,
Apologies for poor formatting, first time using this submission system… hopefully it formats well.

Intro
My name is Gosha, Founder & Creative Director over at The/Thirty7. We have previously worked with companies such as Google, TikTok creative lab, Sherwin-Williams, KFC and many more… within web3 we have worked with companies such as Ankr, Polkadex, Premia Finance, VALK, Creatorverse, Liquality, Tagion and more. Just recently we re-launched the design of web and brand for Tagion — who took inspiration from the websites of Cosmos & Polkadot (we have deep competitor analysis on both as a result).

The/Thirty7 specializes on all around strategic marketing and brand vision — which means we can deliver strategic analysis behind our brand design recommendations and final designs.

Track record
A few of our open case studies can be found via our website, embedded here.
A recent web3 client who came to us with a similar request who ended up getting a refreshed branding and a new website design — Tagion. The website is in pre-launch as their team is finishing implementations, designs from our end are final. Pre-final website here. Final brand guidelines here.

Awards won in the last 6 months for web design and content:

  1. Behance UI feature gallery
  2. Behance XD feature gallery
  3. Awwwards 1x winner
  4. Awwwards honorable mention
  5. CSS Design 3x winner
  6. CSS Winner 3x mentions

A few reviews from our clients —

  1. “After a few years of working with T/T7, you realize they can help you find a solution for anything. My go-to partners for content campaigns.” Kseniia Baziian / Premia Finance CMO
  2. “T/T7 has truly captured the essence of our brand. I am confident that The Thirty7’s creative touch has made a lasting impact on our business.” Steffen Nyholt Petersen / Decard & Tagion CMO

Team
The recommended team for this project would consist of the following team: creative director, UX strategist (to review final wireframes and structure), UI designer, 2D/3D designer for additional visual elements.

Process

  1. Set up of comms channels via Slack or Discord & Notion interactive project dashboard.
  2. Discovery sessions, UX wireframe review and analysis.
  3. UX wireframe recommendation presentation.
  4. UX wireframe final designs and UI prototypes.
  5. Review & Approval.
  6. UI Design variations.
  7. Review & Approval.

Again, this is a very high-level and zoomed out process timeline.

Deliverables

  1. Full static design for 7 website pages as projected via wireframe Miro document.
  2. Design of 5 animated visuals for any 5 blocks. (reference could be animated blocks as seen here)
  3. Design of 5 3D elements
  4. Review, analyze, and finalize the UX/UI wireframe, as the current one is not ready for the final design.

optional: refresh and revamp brand guidelines to include updated color patterns, 3D elements, brand-in-use, and animations options (+$5,000)

Budget
The estimated budget without the optional brand refresh/revamp is $13,500. Prepayment is 50% of the total budget and we can take payment in USDC or FIAT.

*Final outcome
The final outcome will be a finalized UX/UI wireframe, design prototype and then final design of all website pages as projected now. Additionally, 5 tier 1 - 3D elements, and 5 animated visuals/GIFs for hero sections on the website. Our reference points in terms of design capability will be along the lines of your reference cases above.

If all goes to plan the collaboration and final submission of all work should take around 2 months at most.

Additional notes
Our team is highly specialized in video production. If in the future that will be necessary for the project, we are willing to package that together with website work.

POKT Proposal 25-09-2023

Submission
Hello team POKT! I am Beau, the founder of Slance. We are a web3 design studio with a solid track record (see details below) with clients ranging from startups to established brands in the crypto/defi/blockchain space – and we are very much looking forward working together!

Submission and requirements summary:

  • Budget: Accepted. We can most certainly work within the budget requirements
  • Timeline: Accepted. Delivery can be made within two weeks after the discovery/kick-off call.
  • Requirements/deliverables: Accepted. We see no constraints or issues.

Deliverables

  • Brand book (brand refinements) Estimate delivery: in the week of 25th september
  • Website refinement. Estimate delivery: in the week of 2 october.

Brand book
As per POKT’s wish, explore brand visual style refinements based on the current brand kit, but update it towards a more fresh/tech-y/modern/bright overall look and feel and encapsulate this in a brand book.

The brand book includes typography, colors, guidelines, logo placement and can be used for any future design / branding reference.

Website refinements
Refine the website based on the existing wireframes in combination with the refined branding guidelines.

The goal is to improve user experiences by offering a seamless website experience that mainly attracts developers, node runners and contributors.

Website design will be made in Figma according to requirements.

Budget
We can work within the proposed budget.

All deliverables are time tracked and charged at our regular agency rate of $95/hour.

Brand book estimate: 16 hours → $1.520
Website redesign estimate: 40 hours → $3800
Feedback/Revisions/refinements/additional requests: charged at $47.5 / 30 minutes
Total estimate for both deliverables: $5320

We offer unlimited revisions and future updates. All revisions are time tracked and added to the total price once the project is near completion.

Payment is accepted in erc20/polygon in any stablecoin. We also work with a 50% upfront payment, followed by a closing invoice for the total amount spent based on time tracked hours.

Timeline

  • Week of 25th september: brand guidelines refinement (exploration call + proposition + creation of brand book)
  • Week of 2nd october: start webdesign homepage, followed by additional pages.
  • Estimate delivery website design: around friday 6th october

Final delivery dates may vary, based on the amount of feedback we’ll receive. Either way, we will dedicate our in-house UX designer to the POKT project for quick delivery.

Workflow
A requirement from our side is to have availability on the POKT team for quick back-and-forth chats/calls so we can keep the deliverable workflow going smoothly and in a timely manner.

Any deliverable that is created has to be approved by POKT at every stage of the production process. Meaning the brand book will be accepted first before we move onto the next deliverable, etc.

This ensures expectations are always met and results in a final deliverable that POKT is satisfied with, according to requirements.

About us
Slance is a web3 design & video studio, active since 2020, specifically focused on the web3 space (defi, crypto, blockchain).

OpenUX proposal for POKT website re-design

OpenUX is a public goods collective of highly experienced crypto-expert UX Researchers, Strategists, Experience Designers, among other traits, dedicated to elevating the quality and quantity of user experience design and insights in web3. We aim to support product teams with making better decisions, filling the “data gap” prevalent in the space, and ultimately driving innovations that are widely adopted.

Our goal at OpenUX is to create the largest (and first) web3 UX insights repository, meaning that we strive to make UX insights, from our projects, a part of our ultimate public goods tool. We’d love to discuss the scope of the insights we can share publicly about this project at the end.

We are thinking about this in multiple modalities:

  • Option 1 (website lift & cms): If we assume that primary user research has been done that represents existing POKT developers and potential POKT developers, and that the developer voice has already been represented in the existing low-fidelity wires and requirements, then from this, we can perform this website redesign and validate later.
  • Option 2 (+UXD): Leverage the research that the POKT team has recently done in their research sprint, further pulling out behavioral traits and patterns expressed, and thus creating a new set of wireframes that are persona-driven and more personalized. This option further leverages research done but redesigns the UX.
  • Option 3 (+UXR): We challenge the assumption that enough primary research was done and in a way that is representative of the core user’s needs by performing our own research sprint, in order to drive the design strategy for a developer experience that is highly resonant. Subsequently, we would optionally build the wires, designs, and cms from those UX insights, depending on the POKT team’s appetite for any of those items from our community.

*All options assume we will be working with another developer partner.

Option 1 (website lift & cms):

Full scope of work & timeline

  • Sprint 0 - Discovery & Prep (~1 week)
    • Review any existing research insights or assets produced by the POKT team as a way of understanding the primary persona’s behavioral traits and needs
    • Access to current site hosting platform & understanding the current capabilities & setup if there’s a desire to keep the same platform
    • Consult & gather from the internal team:
      • How the network statistics section intends to function, interactivity, etc… and any technical constraints of integration & originating data structure, in other words, what’s the realm of possibility here?
      • Visual language direction for content per page (6), including ecosystem/explainer artifact indicated on wireframe #2
  • Sprint 1-2 - Website Layout Visual Design (2-3 weeks)
    • Develop the foundational component library for the screens & setup design tooling for POKT project
    • Create medium-level fidelity screens for all 6 pages with placeholder content to validate structure, flow, and understandability first
    • Where there is uncertainty, design multiple versions of assets for design concept testing with users, especially CTAs such as “Run Nodes” or “Join Discord” indicated on wire #3
      • Run validation with existing POKT community or users with POKT provided incentives for their time spent
      • Alternatively, validate with an external audience using our OpenUX research recruitment & testing platforms, includes POKT provided incentives for user testing time
    • Review screen versions with decision-makers within POKT and results from any lightweight user testing
    • Post-approval – hand off medium-level fidelity site screens to delivery teams in delivery format desired to begin production immediately.
      • Several options here for asset hand-off:
      • Direct access to Figma or Miro files by developers (lower effort) +0.5 days for any clean-up
      • Redlined visual assets handed off (medium effort + 1-2 days)
      • Higher-fidelity assets created before hand-off (high effort +3-5 days)
  • Sprint 3-4 - Content Management System & Site Launch (2-3 weeks) – while website layout is being produced
    • Pre-launch
      • Consult internal team around visual language direction while leveraging brand guidelines for the content
      • Develop a set of visual content assets to be used in screen placeholder CMS blocks
      • Review with internal POKT team on assets and refine as necessary
      • Setup CMS tool of choice, either:
      • Webflow.io, or tool like Wordpress
      • Test newly developed site with content prior to deploying to the public
      • Refine anything as necessary
    • Post-launch
      • Have team on standby for any immediate break fixes in design
      • Create any process documentation to integrate into POKT repositories

*While our aim is to achieve each of the milestones in approximately one 2-week sprint each, depending on technical constraints discovered, tooling setup, feedback cycles and decision-making, the timeline may take up to 2 sprints for each milestone as indicated in the ranges.

Deliverables and outcomes

  • Faster design iteration in the future through the creation of a component library or design system
  • Developing the right thing at the right time by testing design concepts fast and early prior to development investment & real user impact
  • Visual designs at the right level of fidelity with the design tool of choice for easier portability and speed to value
  • Agility with a new CMS to keep the site up-to-date with the values of the network and value props of the brand
  • Maintainability through integrated documentation into existing POKT repositories

Overall Timeline

We would expect the entire design exercise to take 5-6 weeks.

Proposal amount

For a light-to-medium weight visual design effort for an externally facing site and content management system setup, we would seek in the region of ~$50k USD, with 85% being in USDC (or stables), and 15% in POKT equivalent. The exact amount depends on the technical limitations of the existing host platform, technical integrations of real network data & its impact on design strategy, desire for design concept testing, and speed of the delivery team. We are open to negotiation and flexing our focus and priorities to get a quality v1 site up and running sooner!

Team

OpenUX core members include, Harsh (DEsign.eth), Eric (eerkle), Steen (usersteen.eth), with the potential to tap others in our community who are available at the time of the work.

We recently found out about the re-opening of this RFP, so we haven’t been able to get portfolios from some of our community members yet today, but here are a few examples below and we can walk the POKT team through more examples later, if desired:

Team member portfolio.

Resulting site from team member

OpenUX site for recently published case studies. (we are launching our own new reskinned site in the next week or two with more examples)

More VD project asset examples.

Option 2 & 3 (+UXD and/or UXR)

To be discussed in more detail, if interested in hearing more about a few additional sprints for either UX and/or UX Research to bolster the design strategy.

Scope of Work

This Raid Party proposed to handle all aspects of the rebuild of the POKT website. The aim is to ensure an engaging and effective user experience to attract more developers and convert them into active users. This project will be run using Agile methodologies in conjunction with the PNF Stakeholders so they remain involved with each step of the build. Hi Adrienne,

I am excited to present my proposal for the POKT Website Relaunch and Brand Revamp. As a Premium Freelancer, I prioritize client satisfaction and believe in maintaining a smooth and enjoyable communication process throughout the project (let’s make it fun for everybody). My expertise lies in 3D Graphics and Animation, Web Design, and Branding. Notably, I have been involved in web3 projects such as a full Rebrand of Riddle&Code, where I have created 3D Graphics, multiple unique sub-brands, animations, and their new Website: Riddle&Code.

Key Factors

The primary objective of this project is to give the POKT brand a new, modern design language while retaining its core elements. This initiative aims to enhance the user journey on the POKT Website, attract a plethora of new leads, and build a strong brand with stunning 3D visuals, animated explainers, and a unique overall look and feel.

Steps to Success

  1. Rebranding and Mini Styleguide
    • I will begin by rebranding POKT and creating a new Mini Styleguide. This includes an updated color palette, a modernized logo, new fonts, and a fresh image language.
    • This step is pivotal in elevating the brand to a sleek, futuristic, and premium web3 project without forgetting its grounded nature as an infrastructure provider.
    • I’ve got excited and created a little sneak peek of what I could imagine the new brand to feel like:

  1. Concept and Wireframe

    • I will be your sparing partner for the final concept and wireframe creation, ensuring a solid foundation for the project and an amazing user journey.
  2. Website Design and Visual Assets

    • Simultaneously, I will design the website using Figma while crafting the necessary visual assets.
    • The focus here is on creating an exceptional user journey through stunning 3D visuals, animated explainers (e.g. MYPWR Explainer), and a unique look and feel.
  3. Development in Webflow

    • The website will be developed in Webflow to guarantee a flawless experience on all devices and ensure great technical stability and functionality and a super easy to maintain backend.
  4. SEO and Google Analytics

    • We will integrate basic SEO practices and set up Google Analytics for enhanced visibility and future A/B testing.
  5. Hosting and Go Live

    • The completed website will be hosted on Webflow, and the site will go live.
  6. Workshop

    • To empower your team, we will conduct a short workshop to familiarize them with the Webflow CMS, enabling them to make easy content changes in minutes.

Estimated Timeline

Upon approval of this proposal, I anticipate a timeline of approximately 40 days to release the fully rebranded homepage, as long as the communication stays mainly frictionless.

Price, Fees, and Payment

Given the integral role of the brand revamp in achieving the project goals, I recommend an all-in-one package:

  • Website Relaunch and Brand Revamp: $25,000
  • Webflow hosting: $23 per month

I propose a payment structure that involves an initial payment of 50% of the total proposal price upfront. The remaining 50% will be due upon project completion. Please note that I only accept payments in fiat.

This pricing includes all services with no hidden costs. I am committed to working on the project until you are completely satisfied, within the rough scope of the current concept (Miro Board).

I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you on this exciting project and am available to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

Best Regards,

Jonathan Bail

Website Redesign & Development Proposal for Pokt

POKT’s vision clearly surpasses a mere “website” redesign. To fully encapsulate the essence of POKT, it’s essential to have a long-term design language that consistently reverberates across all its products, establishing a unified brand identity. This proposal primarily centers on the foundational website redesign, while also laying a clear path for ongoing collaborations to further achieve the overarching goals and ambitions of POKT brand image.

At D_D AGΞNCY ΞXPERTS, our team brings to the table an eclectic mix of expertise. We value the dynamism of iterative development and the tangible benefits of continuous delivery. Recognizing the budgetary considerations, we’ve crafted a strategy to máximize value while staying true to the essence of POKT.

Baseline UI Feeling

  1. Examples: We will present three distinct website landing heading samples, guiding the rest of the website’s visual identity in terms of color palettes and design language.
*As a present we’ve fast built one of them.
  2. Corrections: Post your feedback on the chosen heading, modifications will be incorporated. This chosen design will then act as the cornerstone for the overall website redesign.

UI Rework

  1. Initial Design: Using the supplied wireframes and branding materials, we’ll craft an initial design, focusing primarily on the visual interpretation.
  2. Minor Adjustments: A review session for nuanced alterations will be conducted. This phase will pinpoint minute details, avoiding extensive, high-level design revisions.

BUILD UP

Technology Stack: Next.js + Selected Headless CMS for static rendering

  1. First Pass: We will establish the foundational structure, forming the entirety of the site with content placeholders and a robust code blueprint.
    1. CMS Configuration: We will meticulously structure the content and fine-tune frontend behavior for the type of content delivery. This ensures optimal page loading speeds while adhering to SEO best practices, striking a balance between user experience and visibility.
  2. Second Pass: Detailed stylings will be incorporated, aligning perfectly with the final design provided at UI Rework.
  3. Third Pass: The addition of effects, decorations, and animations will take place. (This step will be omitted from the proposed budge, even though it is part of our usual modus operandi.)

Estimated Timeline:

The total estimated duration for this project is 10 weeks. However, depending on the specifics and requirements as they evolve, this can range 2 weeks earlier or later.

Payment & Working Model:

  • We anticipate a total budget of 20k USDC, approximately allocated as 40% for design works and 60% for the build-up.
  • An initial deposit of two weeks is necessary to kickstart the project. (taking into account a 10 week distribution)
  • After this initial phase, we will move to a consistent biweekly payment structure.
  • Our model functions on a “progress-as-we-go” approach. This not only provides both parties with the adaptability to make decisions but also ensures that value is continually added throughout the project continuation, even if certain deliverables are still in progress.
  • If there’s a mutual desire to expand our partnership to achieve a comprehensive brand and design language update, we are open to re-evaluating the budget and maintaining our biweekly delivery and payment cadence.

This version focuses on the continuous addition of value and the flexibility of the working model. Adjust as necessary to fit your context or preferences.

Hosting:

  • We won’t manage the hosting. Instead, a Vercel account, provided by you and overseen by us, will be used.
  • All our build up deliverables will be channeled through a GitHub repository. Any additional necessities can be reassessed at the contract’s culmination for potential future engagements.

Payment Method:

We exclusively accept payments in USDC. We could work on other models after testing our working relationship.

This proposal has been tailored to encompass all the details you’ve provided. Ensure you review and make any required modifications to fit any additional context or specifications.

It has been formulated in response to the swift chain of events posted in the forum. Should there be interest in delving deeper into this potential collaboration, we stand ready to provide a more comprehensive breakdown and detailed procedure for each phase of the process.

HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in this POP.

You made it insanely difficult to reach a conclusion. And I hope we’ll work with many more of you in other capacities over the coming months and years.

But we did reach a conclusion and are excited to announce that the next website will be designed and built by @sasquatch and the team at Raid Guild.

They are a values aligned community that has delivered great work for us with the wPOKT bridge. They are also able to take on the full brief, across design and build, which should reduce potential friction. Their design team have a strong portfolio and the builders have a huge amount of experience. Also the fact that we’ve worked with them before and they were great to work with.

We’re excited to work together again with the OG Service DAO. :zap:

We’ll share regular progress updates in the Discord and will report back on the forum at key milestones.
