This topic will serve as a call for competing applications to claim blockchains that others are interested in claiming as part of the Triforce initiative.
When a full shard application is received to claim a chain this thread will be updated with information about the blockchain network and include an application window date. The final application will be selected and shard members notified about the decision within 1 week of the application window closing.
To learn more about shard member expectations and the criteria used to vet applications, read more here.
Apply for a Triforce Shard
It is important to us that we create transparency around the integrations of new chains and which community members will be responsible for their implementation and ongoing maintenance. Feedback about this process is welcome.

Blockchain: Meter
Meter is DeFi infrastructure with a built-in, crypto-native, metastable currency, MTR. It uses HotStuff based PoS consensus with MTRG (Meter Governance Token) to manage the blockchain ledger. Meter functions as a highly-decentralized, high-performance side chain for Ethereum and other public chains.

Blockchain: Aurora
Aurora is a solution, that allows to execute Ethereum contracts in a more performant environment—NEAR blockchain, a modern layer-1 blockchain which is fast (2-3 second transaction finalization), scalable, and carbon neutral. Aurora is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) implemented as a smart contract on NEAR Protocol.

New Triforce Shard Application
Blockchain: Metis
Based on the spirit of Optimistic Rollup, Metis is building an easy-to-use, highly scalable, low-cost, and fully functional Layer 2 framework (Metis Rollup) to fully support the application and business migration from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0. Its scalable protocol supports a wide range of use cases, including yield farming, DEX trading, and powering the gig economy via dApps that offer cheap and fast micropayments.
Metis integrates the Decentralized Autonomous Company (DAC) framework within its Layer 2 infrastructure, a differentiating factor that makes it easy for any developers, builders, or community leaders to build their applications and communities. It also makes it easy to use the pre-set tools to facilitate their development, manage collaboration, and enjoy the network effects of the world’s largest decentralized finance ecosystem, without the costs and bottlenecks normally associated with Ethereum.
Metis’ goal is to make building dApps and DACs on its platform so easy to do, even total blockchain novices can make it happen in a matter of minutes.
