EVENT OF THE WEEK
The announcement of Liquify as the 3rd Gateway was crowned the week’s top event.
The Morse upgrade to RC-0.11.1 was successful and smooth. Morse now has the right economic incentives for node operators to support AI inference and LLMs.
Following the RC-0.11.1 upgrade, POKT’s OG Gateway Grove announced an exciting private LLM pilot.
POKT Network’s next gateway, Liquify, achieved a new all-time high in RPC usage, soon to be under-DePIN-ned by POKT.
GOVERNANCE
@katerinaproposed enhancing the POKT Network x Encode Club partnership by launching a POKT Educate Series and establishing POKT as a preferred RPC provider.
COMMUNITY
@RawthiL and the PNYX team initiated a Quick Grant to kickstart research and development on the Quality of Service of Machine Learning models deployed in the POKT Network.
The POKTscan website was updated to accommodate all the new features made possible by the upgrade to RC-0.11.1.
Voting commenced on PUP-33, aiming to increase the block size and the minimum number of proofs, facilitating scalability for POKT Morse as POKT Shannon development continues.
Additionally, the voting process began for appointing an Observer to PNF’s Board. The DAO-appointed observer will have a crucial role, offering the opportunity to influence core decisions.
GATEWAYS
The second POKT Gateway, Nodies, achieved a significant milestone, processing over 10 billion relays since its inception.
The private Testnet for Shannon was launched. The protocol team will use this for quick iterations and to establish the basics for Shannon before the launch of a public Testnet in April. Catch up on more protocol updates from the week’s Builder’s Call.
PUP-33: SPACE has been approved by the DAO. This approval will lead to updating 2 on-chain parameters in POKT Morse. The updates will increase the block size and raise the minimum number of proofs required for a node to claim.
The DAO commenced voting on PEP-67 to boost POKT’s liquidity. If approved, $3m in POKT will be lent to market makers to achieve a 2% depth of $50K+ across all exchanges where POKT is listed.
Approval of PEP-68 was granted, meaning POKT DAO will co-sponsor a Blockworks Research DePIN report, reinforcing our position as the sector thought leaders.
Grove announced the deprecation of support for Ethereum Goerli & Polygon Mumbai, following guidance from their respective Foundations.
COMMUNITY
PNF proposed the formation of an expert working group to craft a litepaper on POKT’s AI potential.
2 new Quick Grants were opened. One is for the official website maintainer, and the other is to enhance POKT documentation with a focus on the Developer Audience.
