A short update this time as a lot of what Michael and I discussed will be unveiled on the Ecosystem call on the 13th November (tomorrow), so join that call and listen to the recording for the full announcements.
-
PNF has hired 2 people, a familiar face and a new entrant. One will be working on helping gateways expand from the top down- helping existing gateways expand and offering easier onboarding and UI for the wider community; the other hire will be focused on new projects around gateways (and some really exciting ideas that you’ll hear about tomorrow!)
-
PNF is also looking to hire a Marketing Manager and is actively looking for someone to fill the role. The first KOL has been signed up and more are expected to help spread the work on Pocket.
-
The rebrand is well underway. The blue is back and the logo and website have a more fun and interactive feel from the colder black and white.
-
‘One-click staking’ in-wallet has come a long way and development is maturing. (It might be 3-click staking, but the UI/UX looks very clean and intuitive).
As for Community Questions:
-
Michael was juggling a lot as the sole PNF member, but expects to be able to better communicate and engage with the community as the new hires take on some responsibilities. He’s aiming for a blog post about once a month give or take, and to be more active in the community, especially on the weekly Ecosystem calls and to drop into the Den on Telegram for ad hoc AQA sessions.
-
Shannon will not have EVM equivalency out of the box. Shannon is IBC/Cosmos compatible and will be part of their ecosystem. There will be bridge compatibility to the EVM ecosystem using popular bridges like Axelar or Wormhole.
-
The targeting of T1 exchanges will be with the Base (L2 EVM) chain POKT.
There’s lots going on in Pocket, with the Shannon release just days away and many of these other projects that were being put together coming out of the shadows and adding to the Pocket ecosystem over the coming weeks.
