GXR Grant Proposal for Pokt Integration

Hi Pokt community,

I’d like to share our grant proposal for GXR, a grassroots blockchain project we’ve been building. Full details are below — happy to hear any thoughts or feedback!

Project Title:
Integrating GXR into Pokt for Native Interoperability and Sustainable Growth

Applicant:
GXR Foundation
Email: gxrfoundation@gmail.com

GitHub (Blockchain Specification – Prototype): https://github.com/Crocodile-ark/Genpro/tree/main

GitHub (Telegram Farming Bot): https://github.com/Crocodile-ark/gxr-grambot

Project Summary

GXR is a grassroots blockchain initiative with a mission to enable fair, transparent, and sustainable economic coordination. Built without any token sale or VC funding, GXR has a fixed total supply of 85 million tokens, distributed through community-based methods such as airdrops, staking, and LP farming.

This proposal requests a $25,000 USD grant from the Pokt community to support early validator alignment, RPC compatibility integration, and to drive liquidity flows between Pokt and GXR.

To maintain full transparency, GXR is also submitting tailored grant proposals to other RPC-compatible ecosystems (e.g., Osmosis, TON, Polygon), with each proposal tailored to the specific technical and community context of that chain. All funding is tracked independently and will be used solely for integration within the respective ecosystem.

The current repository contains a working prototype of the GXR blockchain, developed under a personal GitHub account. The full source code will be published on the official GXR GitHub before mainnet for public review and audit.

Requested Grant Amount:

$25,000 USD
To be disbursed in USDC, Pokt, or a preferred combination of both.

Grant Allocation Breakdown:

Use Case Percentage Estimated USD
Pokt Integration & LP (to be requested at mainnet) 40% $10,000
Technical Infrastructure (Website & RPC support) 40% $10,000
Education, Documentation & Community Campaigns 20% $5,000

Integration Plan with Pokt

  • Pokt/GXR Liquidity: Launch GXR/Pokt liquidity pools on RPC-enabled DEXes such as Osmosis or Astroport.
  • RPC & Native SDK Compatibility: GXR will launch with full RPC and staking functionality from genesis.
  • Validator Collaboration: Invite Pokt validators to participate in GXR’s early testnets.
  • Transparent Reporting: Monthly updates and progress tracked via GitHub.

Optional GXR Token Allocation for Pokt

GXR is willing to allocate up to 1% of total supply (850,000 to 1 million GXR max) to support Pokt-related initiatives, subject to a soft vesting period of 1.5 years:

  • Testnet delegation & LP incentives for Pokt holders
  • Treasury reserves to support long-term collaboration

GXR Tokenomics Highlights

  • No private or institutional token sales
  • All token distributions are on-chain and publicly tracked
  • 10% allocated to developers (5-year hard vesting)
  • 4% for the team (soft vesting via streaming over 3 years)
  • 1% early team fund (held in multisig, not time-locked but publicly monitored)
  • Grant allocations are fully vested and tracked

Why Pokt?

  • Modular SDK, RPC-native vision, and sovereign chain architecture
  • Validators represent a natural decentralized partner base
  • Strong alignment with GXR’s long-term vision: cross-chain liquidity and open infrastructure

Initial Seed Funding Request

GXR is requesting an initial $2,000 grant from Pokt [Pocket Network] and $2,000 from TON to support early infrastructure and development continuity.

  • From Pokt:

    • WiFi operational costs for 4–6 months
    • One dedicated phone for team communications
    • Small incentives for 2 contributors (logo & code cleanup)
  • From TON:

    • WiFi installation and stable internet setup
    • PC and laptop purchase to replace mobile-only development

To date, all development has been carried out entirely via mobile devices, supported by AI tools. This funding will allow us to activate the GXR farming bot and resume full blockchain development.

We are committed to building with Pokt from Day 1. This proposal marks the first step toward deeper alignment.

Thank you to the Pokt community — we’re in this for the long haul.

I’m not seeing anything in this proposal that spells out what the purpose of GXR is, what its utility is, and how Pocket would benefit from this integration. There is no integration work required on the Pocket side for GXR to use the network. You can stake an app or gateway on the network and begin using it. I don’t know what “early validator alignment” means either; you can stake a validator on Pocket by acquiring the appropriate amount of tokens to stake, and Pocket doesn’t run validators for other protocols.

To be frank, I don’t even know what “an integration with GXR” means, as it’s not spelled out in the proposal in any meaningful way. There’s no whitepaper or website listed, and no technical explanation in this proposal.

What I do see is a request to pay for your development and equipment (a phone?), which seems more aligned with a VC request, not a grant proposal. Your repo shows a brand new prototype chain with limited development activity. While I certainly support people learning blockchain development and experimenting with new concepts, the purpose of DAO grants is to fund initiatives related to the POKT ecosystem, not to fund experimental blockchain development.

Good luck with your project.

I recently came to understand the difference between grants and venture capital, and I’d like to clarify that I never intended to make a VC-style request. The token allocation mentioned in my proposal was simply my way of asking: “What can I give back to the Pocket community if they support this project through a grant?”

One idea I had was to allocate a portion of GXR tokens to the Pocket community — for example, allowing POKT stakers to earn GXR, or giving a share to the Pocket team to manage in a way that best supports the ecosystem.

Personally, I’m not very comfortable using overly technical or strategic terms like “this grant will fund development tools,” as is commonly done in traditional grant proposals. I prefer to stay honest and transparent: “If a grant is given, I’ll use it to buy this, build that, and this is the result.”

Thank you very much for taking the time to review my proposal and provide your feedback.
I truly appreciate the response and attention given by the Pocket team.
Yes, I work using a mobile phone, I download from the repository, delete and write code using the Acode app, then re-upload the changes, and use AI to help check for bugs or syntax errors. I repeat this process many times, which may make the repository appear new or have limited activity.
I’m sincerely grateful for the time you’ve taken to share your suggestions, feedback, and to review my proposal.
